Getting Ready For The Trip By Colin Lloyd Tucker I am the bark on the bouncing rubber tree I am the wind, the wind that blows through me I am the set, I am the setting I can’t forget what it is that I’m forgetting. Take off the phone Get rid of anyone uncool Put the man in a suitcase The man from uncle Tonight we’re alone... How far the star? How far infinity? In your back yard put a kennel there for me And you, you are as good as your very worse day You know that you should… Take off the phone Get rid of anyone uncool Crackerjack pastry Meditating monks all Tonight are alone Swimming ‘round the whirlpool.
2.
William Shakespeare By Candlelight by Colin Lloyd Tucker William Shakespeare by candlelight Fills his pipe with dynamite And bowing his head he begins to write He’ll keep going ‘til morning light William Shakespeare by candlelight Down in the town they call him ‘Old Red Eye’ They don’t approve of those who call by By his cottage late at night William hangs out with itinerant types William Shakespeare by candlelight William Shakespeare blows a cloud of dreams His heart is aching from all the beauty he sees While all around the blind are leading the blind William is frozen, frozen in time William Shakespeare by candlelight
3.
I’ll Be Your Parachute By Colin Lloyd Tucker Halfway there (halfway there) A shine of rainbows in her eyes The universe resides inside my old guitar (his guitar) My guitar If I could write a song for you I’d paint a picture free of blues Seems so long ago We spoke of the poets And how you like naughty English boys. Rooted Here (rooted there) A head of high activity Try to move a muscle and be free (you’ll be free) Yes indeed I thought you were quite nice until you asked me Was there anyone I really didn’t like? I hated a girl ‘Cause she stole my Spangles We played in the churchyard on the hill Don’t worry my love Don’t worry at all Coming down is alright It’s the way we fall Don’t worry my love Don’t worry at all Coming down is alright Enjoy the fall (halfway there) Close your eyes (you’ll be free) Down we go I’ll be you parachute
4.
Little Dunnock by Colin Lloyd Tucker Little dunnock sitting on my wall You’re so pretty, incredibly small I could kiss you but you would fly away Off to do what dunnock’s do all day You remind me Of somebody I once knew They were pretty And flirty just like you Anticipating every coming day Keeping a diary…organized that way Little dunnock (Hello) please don’t you fly away (my love) Like my sweet girl, say you’ll come back again Stay forever…never say never She would call me ‘the never-never man’ Living for the moment in a never-never land I am here now and now here I am We might get back together..no I never say never. Little dunnock (Hello) please don’t you fly away (my love) Like my sweet girl, say you’ll come back again Stay forever…never say never She would call me…
5.
Yours 02:01
Yours By Colin Lloyd Tucker I know how much you like your look In this photograph I took…keep it, it’s yours You always loved this hat No I don’t want it back…here, it’s yours This book it was so sad and soppy I had to get an extra copy…it’s yours Though I can’t lasso the moon for you I could write a tune for you…it’s yours. For sure I’ll give you anything Give you my heart and song to sing…it’s yours I knew right away there was something about you Seems I can’t live without you…dedicate my life to you Though I can’t lasso the moon for you I could write a tune for you…it’s yours.

about

Five new intimate performances from Colin Lloyd Tucker.

Written and performed by Colin Lloyd Tucker with Brian Neil (slide guitar on 'Getting Ready For The Trip' & additional guitars on 'Little Dunnock'). Magda Pietraszewska (Cello on 'I'll Be Your Parachute').

Using FLAC Files.

Colin is now using Bandcamp as his preferred Digital Download platform.
Whilst you can download from Bandcamp in MP3 format, you should choose the FLAC format as this delivers the same audio quality as a CD. Any track or album you download in FLAC format can be burnt onto a blank CDr and will sound identical to a CD release.

So, whilst MP3 files are smaller and quicker to download, FLAC, whilst a bigger download, provides the very best quality.

Download And Convert

If you download MP3 format files you can import them straight into Apple iTunes or Window Media Player.
If you download in FLAC format you will need to convert the files into .wav, .aiff or MP3 as you prefer. Only then can you import them into your chosen music player or burn a CD.

To burn the music to a CDr from FLAC, you must first convert to .wav or .aiff and then use a commercial or free Burning program to create a CDr to play on your hi-fi.

FLAC Conversion Programs

Audacity is a free program available for Windows PC and Apple Mac.

audacity.sourceforge.net

Run Audacity: Import each FLAC file and re-save it as .wav or .aiff

Collect all of the tracks together in a folder and make sure the tracks are correctly numbered so they burn onto a disc in the original playback order. ie. track01, track02, track03 etc.

CD Burning Programs

There are many commercial programs available such as Toast for the Mac or Nero for Windows PC.

Free WINDOWS software:

Easy Burner
www.easy-burner.com

BurnAware
www.burnaware.com/burnaware_free.html

Free MAC software:
Depending on which version of the OSX you have, the Mac can burn a CD without the need for third-party software. Alternatively, you can download Burn for free.

Other Useful Utilities

Foobar 2000 is a freeware audio player for Windows and plays FLAC without conversion.
